The Christmas Spirit

Christmas is five days away. How many of us feel like the season just started?

I’m currently working on finishing up my business degree at BYU, and until a few days ago I was practically swimming in last-minute coursework and final exams. This is my favorite time of year for many reasons, but being completely done with school for the semester and being able to relax and fully enjoy the Christmas season is something I’ve come to crave every year.

However, it’s not the Christmas music or the relaxation or the absence of responsibility that should make or break the Christmas season. Christmas is not about giving or getting–it’s about Christ. No matter how hectic or difficult your life situation may be, you can have the best Christmas of your life by focusing on what really matters.

This video made me really think about what Christmas means to me and what I need to change to have the Spirit of Christmas–or, in other words, the Spirit of Christ–more fully in my life. I hope you enjoy it.
